Jota Pe Hernández protagoniza nueva agresión, esta vez contra el representante indígena Ermes Pete
El senador Jota Pe Hernández volvió a ser protagonista de un episodio de agresión dentro del Congreso de la República. En esta ocasión, la víctima fue el representante indígena Ermes Pete, con quien sostuvo una fuerte discusión en medio de una manifestación de comunidades del Cauca.
Videos que circularon en redes sociales muestran cómo Hernández increpó a Pete y a los manifestantes, a quienes calificó de “indígenas prepago”, asegurando que habían sido enviados por terceros para intimidar al Congreso. En las grabaciones también se escucha al senador afirmar que no les teme y que, si quieren atentar contra su vida, él está “ahí” para enfrentarlo.
El representante indígena respondió que tampoco tenía miedo y defendió la protesta, señalando que se manifestaban por las masacres ocurridas en Caloto, Cauca. La discusión escaló cuando Hernández empujó en repetidas ocasiones a un hombre que intentaba proteger a Pete, lo que generó la reacción de los presentes.
La tensión obligó a la intervención de agentes de la Policía Nacional, quienes contuvieron el altercado para evitar que derivara en violencia física. El hecho ha desatado críticas contra el comportamiento del senador, quien ya había sido cuestionado por otros actos de confrontación dentro del Capitolio.
