Presidente Petro presenta resultados de la operación Perseo en El Plateado, Cauca
Este martes, el presidente Gustavo Petro compartió un primer balance de la operación Perseo, enfocada en las disidencias de las Farc en El Plateado, Cauca. A través de su cuenta en X, el mandatario destacó los logros del Ejército, que incluyeron la incautación de explosivos y otros materiales bélicos pertenecientes a la estructura Carlos Patiño, vinculada a Iván Mordisco.
Durante el fin de semana, se reportó la destrucción de 170 artefactos explosivos, que incluían minas antipersona y dispositivos improvisados para drones, entre otros. Además, el Ejército llevó a cabo operaciones exitosas en Cúcuta (Norte de Santander) y el Valle de Guamuez (Putumayo), donde se desmantelaron laboratorios de cocaína.
Enfoque en la seguridad y el desarrollo
El presidente Petro justificó la toma de El Plateado al mencionar que las disidencias no aceptaron negociar el uso de cultivos ilícitos ni los actos de violencia en la región. “Mi tesis de seguridad es que se debe golpear las economías ilícitas y, al mismo tiempo, transformar económica y socialmente el territorio. El plan político/militar avanza”, aseguró.
Además, Petro informó sobre la visita de funcionarios a la región para recoger las inquietudes de la comunidad, las cuales serán incluidas en una hoja de ruta que presentará para priorizar inversiones. A pesar de los esfuerzos del Gobierno, la oposición critica que Petro no haya visitado personalmente El Plateado, recordando que el mandatario canceló su agenda pública por un cuadro gripal y por razones de seguridad.
